Merry Christmas, Everyone!

What a year 2012 has been!  After all, the world was about to end haha.  Feel free to check out my entry, "Memo: Doomsday Tomorrow!  Is That Pacific Standard Time?".  It's the article before this one.

Although it's not the typical gather-around-the tree-with-friends-and-family kind of day for mom and I, it's a very relaxing and enjoyable one.

This was the first year I got Christmas gifts, in a while.  Not that I ever expect them or get disappointed when I don't get anything, but it was a pleasant surprise.  I've learned to receive graciously, rather than my usual feelings of guilt (that crept up on me briefly before catching myself).  I may post up picts of them sometime, so please check back later, just in case.

To receive has been a lifelong lesson for me, since I do give generously to others, without expectations of anything in return.  However, if someone is going to give with love, it is only right that we accept with the same.

Life is a two-way street.  Such is how the universe operates.

Merry Christmas!  May it be a great day!

Memo: Doomsday Tomorrow! Is That Pacific Standard Time?

I got an email from my dad today talking about doomsday.  He should know what doomsday is like because he's in China, where it is already the 21st.  He was expressing how much he cares and to send his last holiday wishes.  Sounds like a great idea, right?  Why not build some good karma for yourself, just in case.

Today also, I made some calls for routine business and only one of my business partners from Austin, TX picked up.  We had a productive conversation.  However, I'm also thinking to myself, "Why haven't the other folks called back?  Or sent me that email they promised?".  I suppose it's all right.  After all, what's the point?  It's not like it's the end of the world....;-)

Below is a video clip that describes my sentiments exactly about the whole drama and lack of understanding about the linear Mayan calendar.

See y'all maƱana!

TGIF and Happy Holidays!

12-12-12

Today, there were so many posts and new coverage on this date.  Supposedly, this date is the last of its nature to appear in our lifetime.  The next one is about 88 years from now (factor in leap years and all). As we know, time is man made; therefore, to the cosmos, this date may mean nothing.  We give it value, or at least some of us do lol.  Hey, a lot of people got married today.  That's cool...well, at least for now.

If we could take days like these and treat them with a little more dignity, regardless of the date, we will appreciate our own lives more.  To appreciate the day is to appreciate our life, because we are aware we should.  That is our consciousness.  Without it, we would not understand what is.  That is what being alive means.  Being alive right here, right now is all we have for sure (well, sort of).  In any given split second, even in this moment, it can all be taken away.  That's what I mean.  But the concept overall is clear, hopefully.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I remembered the first Thanksgiving holiday with our dear Truffie.  We fed him roast turkey, as he dined with us.  Dad fed him some wine and he was great entertainment for the evening.  That was 13 years ago and it's been a year since his passing.  I do miss him during this time, because it is a special day where the whole family shared a meal.

This year, my brother came to visit from San Francisco and I roasted the turkey, among other eats.  We  have since adopted a chihuahua mixed breed, who we named Chalupa (Lupa for short), and fed him his first Thanksgiving turkey.  It made me happy and sad at the same time, for obvious reasons.  Also, our mom had to work out of town and our dad still lives in China.  The next day, my brother went to visit our mom, then came back the night before he had to leave.

It was a good holiday, even though it wasn't exactly what I had envisioned it to be today, some 20 years ago.  "Life is but a dream" is as the nursery rhyme goes.  I'm just starting to understand that for the first time.  Life is a field of infinite possibilities and it will continue through birth and death.  I can truly appreciate all I have discovered recently in terms of a deeper understanding of life.  Without that understanding, I believe I would be severely depressed, lost and utterly confused.

The Big Mo is Here!

AT LAST!  The moment my friends and I have been waiting for...The Big Mo!

Opportunities are out there but none like a Big Mo.  There's always a beginning phase, a foundation phase, a lift-off phase and finally a stability phase.  Where would one guess all the true financial opportunity is?

The answer is obvious, the lift-off phase or momentum!  Being at the right place at the right time with the right attitude is more valuable here, then being an intellectual that takes little to no action.

"Examining the roots" will not guarantee prosperity, however consistent and properly coached action will!  This is what is called "picking the fruits".

Right now, the way I envision it, the right attitude together with the right action is all that stands between us and this timing that we can truly capitalize on!

A Lifetime in a Week

Do what you love, love what you do!  That's all folks!  Let's make our lives an adventure in achievement!  Why not see all you can do?  If we are going to be here, let's be here!  :-)

Happy Birthday, Truffie

I love you and miss you, old friend.

Life is so transient.  Knowing this might help us appreciate a lot more.

Thank you allowing me to spend time with you while you were here.

Maybe when our paths cross again, we will share our lives together as friends...just like in this lifetime.

Who knows?  Perhaps you'll be a human and I'll be a dog.  If so, I hope I am as handsome as you were.  :-)

Take care.  See you soon.

Happy Independence Day

It takes each of us to make all of us, and all of us to make each of us.

For that, we should ALL be grateful!

Happy Father's Day!

Even though my father lives in China and I haven't seen him in over 12 years, I still feel genuinely connected with him.  He's been a great mentor, a great provider and a great friend.

I sincerely hope to see him soon, since I know time is passing by fast.  This is one of my reasons why I do what I do.  I want that time freedom and true financial security, so as not miss my life with my loved ones in the near future.

Thanks, Dad.  Hope I've made you proud!

Happy Memorial Day

What a great day with the family, as we BBQ'ed and enjoyed the sun!  This, of course, would not be possible without our freedom to do so.  I'm grateful for this day, as it is also a reminder that freedom isn't free.  It comes with the price of many lives, so that many of us can sleep at night in peace.

Gratitude also has a greater purpose...

Happy Mother's Day!

I celebrate Mother's Day because for me it's celebrating the relationship, like a birthday.  While yes, everyday should be a birthday, Mother's Day, Christmas, etc., shouldn't we just roll with it, embrace it and have fun today?  It also serves as a reminder to appreciate all we have.  :)

So,

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!  Thanks for being our angel!  I'm so happy and grateful that we get to still spend time with you!

Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes!  I would say that the video below of Les Brown pretty much sums up my drive and ambition.  I can truly relate to him a lot.  This is my birthday gift to YOU!  Those that watch it are meant to watch.  :)

Enjoy and God Bless!

Happy New Year of the Water Dragon 2012!

From what I understand about the Year of the Dragon, as I am but a student when it comes to these subjects, it is a time of extreme momentum.  If we have good karma, we will experience positive upward momentum.  However, if we have bad karma, we will suffer the effects of negative downward momentum.

What I've learned, if we truly love ourselves, we will naturally make decisions and take action in the spirit of good karma.  If we don't, then either we will find the courage to seek positive help from empowering resources or take the wrong actions and suffer the negative effects of bad karma.

It's more important than ever to "dot the i's and cross the t's" during this time.  Small errors in judgement and neglect to little yet important details can lead to devastating consequences.  Attention to executing tasks thoroughly and in a quick and timely fashion are crucial in the Year of the Dragon.  Because the creature symbolizes victory, it is in sync with the universe, as it too likes speed and efficiency.  Let's embrace this energy and make it our ally!

Happy New Year!

I can say, for the first time in a while, that "my career ended well this year"!  Through the struggle of ups and downs, challenges, roadblocks, anger, frustration and hopelessness, I've discovered the power of forgiveness.  Forgiveness to me is the release of our negative forces toward someone, something or some event.

While we may still feel bad from time to time thinking about things that happened to us, the "release" I refer to is in terms of the big picture.  Once I did this, creativity, imagination and a new found passion for life began to emerge.

It makes complete sense.  If I spend energy in one area, in this case, anger, I will have a lot less to achieve my goals in life.  The zest for life gets zapped because it's spent toward counterproductive and miserable activities.

When I got creative, I got inspired.  When I got inspired, I flowed better.  During this state of flow is when I started becoming attractive, drawing resources, people, events that support my dream.  I believe with this spark, we will be aligned, as our inner momentum will manifest itself into our outer world.  Prosperity and abundance are sure to follow!  Hey, we attracted it!

"Success is something you attract by the person you become." -Jim Rohn
