NYE: 2014 Recap

This year was pretty action packed!

From an epic bachelor party for my brother, followed by his wedding weekend to traveling to Amsterdam and Paris, getting my 3rd degree black belt in taekwondo and earning my certificates for my new career in online spot forex trading, I'd say 2014 was worthwhile!

Spent sometime today to #plan and write down #goals for #2015 #nye #newyear #goodbye #2014 #hello to #progress #success #happiness Happy New Year, Everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you, OPEC! :-)

I'm thankful for both those that support me and those that don't. I'm thankful for those that bring me joy and those that bring about negative emotions. All that is, IS a learning experience. Even if it wasn't really true in the absolute, why not make it so? If we can progress, become better people because of our truth in this case, it wouldn't hurt, yeah? Anyhow, since it is "Throwback Thursday", I thought to bring back a clip that never seems to get old with me. Please enjoy this video below.  :-)

Happy Veteran's Day

For those that stayed up all night, so that we could sleep all night,
For those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the call of duty,
Thank you.

Happy Labor Day!

It's true, no nation can be great without hard work.

As America is experiencing increased economic volatility, we must all at the very least step up our work ethic, if we are to ever see any solidarity in our own personal economy.  This is slightly yet importantly different from just hard work.

Hard work is like mopping the floor harder.   It may or may not give you a raise, though it won't change the overall dollars and cents in your bank account.  (Provided, yes, we see individuals who exploit the system and should pick up a mop to begin with.  That's perhaps another separate blog lol.)

Work ethic includes ingenuity, research and staffing our own weaknesses to improve our financial situation.

So Labor Day is to honor those that have made this country great, the American Worker.  Let's keep it up.  Let's get to work, America!

Happy 4th of July!

May we all continue our pursuit of happiness!  Yup, that's right.  It must be woven well.  It doesn't just happen.  We must work hard for it each and everyday.  I think how we feel is the most important thing.  :-)

Welcome 1st Day of Summer 2014!

Enjoy the longest sunshine day of the year!  So cool that there's also the World Cup!  Great matches and some interesting outcomes.  I guess the lesson is just because you are favored to win, doesn't mean you always do; and just because you are the underdog, doesn't mean you can't change your history!  :-)

Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Easter!

Enjoy the video blog below!  If you don't see it right away, please check back later, as it may still be uploading.

Just fyi, I'm using the epsom salt for a bath later.  Forgot to mention that.  Also today, I'll be updating my Yelp account and giving my dog a bath (not with the epsom salt with me, of course haha).  If you have a Yelp account, you are welcome to connect with me there also: owenchang.yelp.com.

Happy Easter!

Welcome 1st Day of Spring 2014!

I should be getting my new iPhone today to do a video blog.  Spring is a great time to re-evaluate goals vs. progress for the 1st quarter.  It's also a great time to clean up the house, the mind, body and spirit.   This season represents a fresh start!  :-)

Happy 2014 Lunar New Year of the Wooden Horse!

Happy New Year, Everyone!  Please enjoy my another long overdue video blog below:

Above: In the picture collage, I arranged it so that the tails point outward and the heads point inward, as a symbol of an effective team, family or organization (i.e."putting your heads together"). Also, there are four pictures, symbolizing the Horse being grounded "on all fours". Perhaps some have already noticed.

Below: Hot pot with family to ring in the Lunar New Year!  What a wide variety of food: seafood, veggies and meat just in this picture alone!  :-)

Happy Birthday, Rudy!

Had to consolidate the vblogs to the Lunar New Year one, for now.  It's the entry after this one January 30th, 2014.

MLK & New Year's Resolutions

Today marks the commemoration of Martin Luther King, Jr.  He represents the spirit of human equality and justice.

Also right around this time, many have given up on their own New Year's Resolutions (some say the 17th of January).  It is definitely better than not setting them up in the first place, though no one ever did anything progressive, let alone significant, without challenges, setbacks and disappointments.

Please check back later in case I do a video blog.

Happy New Year 2014!

California, USA is perhaps the last region of the globe to ring in the New Year.  Nevertheless, it's here!
Please enjoy my vblog below for a classic topic.  As always, you are welcome to also visit www.LifeofOwen.com for more.  :-)
