"Do not feel lonely, the entire universe is inside you."
-Rumi
Today, I wanted to offer a special tribute to you, Mom. You molded the minds of two young adults, when our dad left us. You were there during the crucial stages of our final development; where we would then soar from the nest out on our own.
In the last couple of weeks or so, I've noticed how damaged our people are. Maybe it isn't my duty to engage in their affairs. However, I feel that if I can lend some feedback to those who are receptive, and live the best life I can, perhaps those who benefit will stand with their heads upright with less shame.
I'm fortunate that you taught us these principles, as you navigated successfully through life and led by example. I resolve to pay it forward, through my constant improvement and progression in this lifetime. At this stage, I don't need recognition for the betterment of anyone. While it would be nice, it's certainly not required for me to feel that my life is worthwhile.
Your silent confidence is all the benchmark I need. For that, I am grateful. Here's to moving forward.

Thank you and good night.
P.S. The collages within this collage are from past Mother's Days, just FYI. Some of the non-collage picts also depict the same soiree; just different periods and venues. It's been absolutely wonderful to celebrate this day with you all across the country over the years. :-)
