Today is the birthday anniversary of Truffie, our family's beloved German Shepherd. He would have been 27 years old today. I still miss him, but it's this day every year that the void feels the deepest. I couldn't have asked for a better friend.
This year, the day looked different than most — full of hard-won progress rather than rest. After a coaching call that stretched into the early morning hours, a plumbing crisis, and three separate copyright battles just to get a simple meditation video published, I finally launched my very first landing page funnel this week. It's been a week of pushing through things I've never done before.
Through all the mishaps, all the struggles, it's always good to come home to a loving embrace — to have someone to lean on, and to be leaned on in return. We leaned on each other through hard times, Truffie. Through every trial and tribulation over the years, you stuck with me. And I know now, wherever you are, you're taking care of my mom too, in her own transition. Thank you, buddy. Maybe we'll meet again someday.
If there's one lesson this week reinforced, it's one I keep relearning: pushing through exhaustion without rest doesn't get you further — it just costs you more later. Truffie never needed to prove anything to be loved. Maybe that's worth remembering on days like today, chasing something new.
