Thank you everyone for wishing me a Happy Birthday today.  I even got an overwhelming response to my new Facebook profile picture.  That was quite a pleasant surprise!  I appreciate those family and friends who took the time out of their crazy lives to reach out.  It means a lot to me; for real!

Today, also marks the 1st day of the Pink Full Moon portal in Libra.  While the actual peak event will happen on the 12th, the gateway will remain open until around the 15th, give or take a day or two.  This is a period of clean slates, emotional healing, and finding balance.  The moon color isn't actually pink, as the name comes from the blooming of spring flowers [Sakura さくら (Japanese)].    

This incidentally coincides with the Water Festival or [Thingyan သင်္ကြန် (Myanmar) and Songkran สงกรานต์ (Thailand) both from the Sanskrit word "sankranti" संक्रान्तिः , meaning "transition".  This is based on the Vedic Calendar, celebrating the New Year, where there's "transit [of the Sun from Pisces to Aries]".  As the name suggests, water plays an essential role in the festivities, also practiced in various parts of India, as well as Southeast Asia.  Among the many fun traditions, people will play in the streets, splashing water on each other; symbolizing the washing away of the old and starting anew.  Plus, it's getting hot and certainly welcome for the receiver lol!
